I listened to Death Punch' , the highly anticipated mixtape by the one and only Brodha V of the Machas With Attitude crew. And what do I think of it? Dope isn't the word. This isn't for just the rap mags. Anybody with a good taste in music will like this. Read on.

I listened to the first four released tracks of Death Punch so far, all four triggering massive quakes throughout the Indian hip-hop community. Aathma Raama, When We Party, Emulate and Da Real Desis are the released tracks, and they were mindblowing. Obviously, I had to buy this album. So four days back, I met Brodha V himself, who came to Chennai.. Had a nice chat, bought the album, went home and played it... Forty minutes of astounding music! I can honestly say that Brodha V is the the best rapper and producer in India right now..

The first song from Death Punch :

Also do check out the rest of the songs released so far.
And if you love em, buy the album. You will not regret it. :)

Limp Bizkit - Gold Cobra

I'm not a fan of Fred Durst, infact I think that guy's a joke. However, I loved Limp Bizkit's album The Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (2000) . That album had some pretty good songs. Rollin, Hot Dog, My Generation, Livin it Up to name a few! And we all know Fred's not the brightest of songwriters, slipping in F words when he can't think of a word. But as far as I knew, overall Bizkit make some pretty good rapcore music! And I just listened to their latest album 'Gold Cobra'. What'd I think? I think they've changed - in a good way.

Introbra:  Nice idea for an intro, lol. Gives you a pretty good idea about what most of the album is gonna sound like!

Bring it Back:  I was pretty confused about this song.. The verse and the chorus don't connect very well. The chorus just comes in out of the blue. The nice hard guitar riffs save this track! Catchy chorus, and I bet you'll go 'Aaaw man' when the verse starts again.

Gold Cobra:  The best track in the album! The song starts with some really cool guitar riffs, and you witness a whole different level of Fred's flow. Sure to pump up your adrenaline! Awesome guitar, good vocals.. Overall, brilliant track. Perfect when you're working out or running.

Shark Attack:  The theme of this song is pretty much similar to Gold Cobra. Well, most of Limp Bizkit's songs are like .. 'Screw you, we're awesome!' My second favourite song in the album. Verry good hook! Must check.

Get a Life:  A laid back, sarcastic song finally. Aaand you finally witness Fred's screaming skills. xD Good song!

Shoutgun: Feel good track. xD Everybody jumps from the sound of the shotgun, yeah in my neighbour everybody got one !

Douchebag: Meaningless track, lol. I love the chorus, haha! Fred's retarded writing skills kick in once again. I'm a fuck you up, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you up! Haha, you gotta love this bridge! LOVE THIS BRIDGE!

Walking Away: The song starts out beautifully .. A nice , soft track. A must actually, you miiight have gotten tired by the monotonous feel of the album so far. You have got to like this song.. Amazing song! Makes a lotta sense :) The ending is very captivating, haha.. Kinda reminds me of Bullet for my Valentine.. How he shifts from sooft vocals to that high screaming!

Loser: A song you must only listen to when you're high. Like, really high.

Autotunage: The riff in the beginning sounds exactly as the riff in the main track. As the name suggests, there's use of autotune here. First time I'm listening to metal, rap and autotune. Wow. Nice song, really nice song!

90.2.10: A song about banging ladies in a party, lol.

Why Try: At this point, I actually got kinda bored of the album. I half did, right before Walking Away. Nevertheless, decent song.

Killer In You:  Another decent track. You know, those type of songs which are good but you won't bump it again.

Overall, it's a good album. I'd give it a 6.5 / 10.

Title track!

Enjoy.

That's it for now folks. Laters!

Hell yes!
By some miracle, the 'Join' button popped up when I went to the Google Plus Project page. And yeah, I joined. Screw all those people who said it's a Facebook rip-off. I'd say it's the best of both worlds - Facebook and Twitter.

It's easier to use, much slicker, neat interface, a couple of copied stuff but hey, it fixed all the serious and irritating bugs Zuckerberg ignored. I've used Google Plus for like , one hour now. All I have to say is , Google has never failed to impress me.

Although it's currently pissing off a lot of people by closing down the invitations (unlucky bastards might have to wait till July 31st - when G+ hits public veiwing) you will not be disappointed.

Let's start with ...

General things that make you go Holy Crap this is awesome

Neat and slick interface! Very similar to Facebook, although it's been said that Google will add some splash to the website, also App support is yet to added. Loading is quick, unlike Facebook.

Circles

This idea is pretty sweet. You basically add a person, which is the same as following him on G+. The other dude doesn't accept/decline but he can either choose to add you to his circle or hide you. That's pretty much half way between the friendlist and following concept!

There's more to Circles, they can also be used as normal Friendlists. Circles, this is brilliant.

+1

One of the little things that made Facebook an internet phenomenon was the simple yet radical option the 'Like'. The Like button was cropping up everywhere. On every news page, on every fan page, every band artist - EVERYWHERE. Fear not, the +1 , Google's version of the Like is spreading too. Virally.

Sparks

Sparks, this gives you immediate news on your interests .. Hip-hop, anime, soccer, movies, video games. This is just a list of Sparks which I followed. Efficient.

Chat

Screw you shitty Facebook chat. This GTalk-like thingy is better than you. AND it doesn't have stupid feautres like integrating to your inbox. Oh yeah , G+ doesn't have an INBOX. There's frikking GMail, who's complaining?

Hangouts

Multiple webcam chat. Can share Youtube videos. Apparently, Zuckerberg got cold feet and wanted to add webcam facilities for Facebook. Dude, I'd recommend fixing the bloody TEXT chat first!

Notifications

I used to spend HOURS on the Moment of Zen page on Facebook looking at those meme comics, laughing my ass off. Then there comes the annoying notification. I have to click it, which opens up in a fucking new page. To make things worse, there's the shitty photo veiwer too. Faggots.

In G+, you get a notification, you click on it, you reply to it RIGHT THERE in the pop-up. How cool is that?

Tagging

Another thing Facebook screwed up. Tagging sucked. The normal dragging way of tagging is here.

Other stuff

Uploaders are pretty cool. Apparently, soon users can update their status right from the Google homepage. And Blogger will  be known as Google Blogs, once integrated with G+, and Picasa will be Google Photos. Phenomenal ne?

Well I guess I pretty much pointed out all the nice features here and all the fixed bugs! I'm pretty sure Facebook is going down pretty damn hard! It's like .. Google's paying back Facebook for murdering Orkut two years ago!

That's it for now, later folks! :)

I really looked forward to these holidays. 12th standard was the worst year in all of my school life, for a huge list of reasons starting with hectic year, tests and exams every other day punctuated with an bad screw-up in the board exams. At least, I'm going to a decent college. *sigh*

I guess Civil engineering wouldn't be so bad. Despite rumours I do hope there are a few more people in my class who can communicate in fluent English and can pronounce 'Donald' the way it's supposed to be. You know, they usually say Donaaaald..Watevs..

And the holidays aren't so bright either. Ok,  April month was a blast. A month at Doha. New laptop, PS3, and epic food! ^_^
I'm back in Chennai, and all that I do these days is movies, anime, gaming, roaming, hogging. I thought I could live life like this forever. Oh yeah also started to hit the gym recently. Sad that there's this really pretty chick who can lift twice the weights I can. Bummer.

Damnit, I need to do something constructive to do other than making comics out of people who annoy me.

And I need some sleep. Become a fucking insomniac. Sheep will be counted tonight. Or..Cows.

Ok, that's kinda scary. If crow droppings are annoying I wouldn't wanna imagine..

What am I talking about? I always thought I had ADHD, I couldn't pay attention in class for more than ten minutes, probably why my board exam marks were so bad. Come to think of it , what is ADHD? :/ Attention. Deficit.. Why can't names be SIMPLER. A Dude Having Daydreams, there! How hard is that? Sheesh.

Ok, never mind I'm getting off topic.

What  I WANTED to post about was..

Yes, baby YES !
For those of you who can't recognize him, he's DEADPOOL , the merc with the mouth (and my favourite Marvel character), whom they fucked up at the end of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now Deadpool gets his own movie in 2014, played by Ryan Reynolds ofcourse. This shalt be epic!

This brought me back to my comic book days, and hence I downloaded nearly five gigabytes of Deadpool, and was reading all day. Ah, comics. ^_^

Anyways before I leave, this is a must-check song by Machas With Attitude (MWA) , India's undisputed best rap/hip-hop crew. The World's Fastest Indians, indeed!

Lyrics in description, knock yourselves out.
Aiite, I guess that's it for now, Peace out folks!

Goddamn Genres!

You know how they say rap isn’t really a genre of music? I’ve been fighting that a lot lately.
Let me show you an example. It all started when a friend of mine, Ms. Beanstalk posted this on my wall. (*sigh*, it all comes back to Facebook)
Stupid bitchure
I had to go up against atleast six metal-heads Ms Beanstalk, Mr Impotent, Mr Smartypants, Mr Somebody and Mr Kiss-ass to try and  fight for hip-hop’s integrity.
Haters, please read on.
The hip-hop shit you see on TV these days is NOT hip-hop. Shawty Lo , Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy – they aren’t rappers, they’re assholes. And all the fake gangsters who say ‘nigga’ every five seconds, they aren’t rappers either. Rap isn’t always about money, cash, hoes, drugs, sex, booze, unicorns and cars. Real rap music is declining in the world. Eminem , Lupe Fiasco, Cunnin’lynguists, Public Enemy – they are real rappers.
Next on to the metalheads.
Mr Impotent – Rap is effortless and is a piece of shit.
Not entirely true. It takes a little creativity to produce good beats and it takes a real brain to pen lyrics with a good flow and rhyme pattern and still make sense. Rapping ofcourse, takes less effort than rock and metal, but that doesn’t make it any worse?
Mr Impotent (again) –  metal is way better than rap. rap is crap.
I don’t get it. If screaming your lungs out as if you’re being brutally butt-rapped with ear-splitting noisy electric guitar, and mad drumming is awesome music … Fast-talking has to be.
Come on, people.
The drummer for Blink-182, Travis Barker jams and collaborates with so many rappers!
Public Enemy, old school hip-hop legends have worked countless times with Anthrax!
And ofcourse one of the most famous rap/rock collaborations.. Jay-Z and Linkin Park on the album ‘Collision Course’
When such legends get along together, why can’t we as listeners appreciate other genres of music? A real musician appreciates all kinds of music irrespective of the genre. There are good songs from every kind of music. It’s these ball-less dickheads who go on disrespecting other styles of music.
Mr Smarty Pants - @Shriraam I like Eminem. But i hate Rap. Same way you must love Iron Maiden but hate metal. You cant express more through Rap. Lyrics maybe, But music? Nah. Half the rappers perform on pre made tracks. There’s focus only on ONE artist in the stage. A band performance is different. You have to admit being a Rapper takes much less balls than a rocker?
Less balls? Lesser effort you mean. And that doesn’t bring down the creativity quotient any less. The only difference is, rock bands are all good one way or the other, it’s just the taste the matters. Rap? It’s either dope or whack. Relative differences based on taste is very less. The hip-hop industry today, 90% whack.
This brings me to the topic of the INDIAN underground music scene. Rock music and metal music is growing at an awesome rate. I’ve been to a rock concert and witnessed some truly talented bands Frank’s Got the Funk, Skrat, Borrowed Halos and so on. They host concerts and sell a decent number of CDs.
Hip-hop? Very less audience as it is, selling is a huge problem. Brodha V, in my opinion the best Indian rapper had to set up people in various cities in the country and then send copies of his debut album ‘Death Punch’ to sell. It did sell well, but this music needs a bigger platform. As hard as it is, people it would help if people had a little more positive attitude and respect all kinds of music.
We have very talented rappers and producers coming up in India. Hip-hop needs a stage in the nation.

Ressurection!

Hello folks and welcome to the abode of the serial rapper, where I quell my thoughts, my life, my updates – for god knows how long. I used to blog about 2 years ago and lost interest. Nah, I was just too lazy. And now that I have pretty much nothing better to do .. I’m back!
Some people who’ve visited this site might know me by the name  ’Azeron’. Welcome! And hopefully, I will be active this time!
Mehh anyways, here’s just a short intro to what I’m all about..
I’m a rapper, influenced mainly by Eminem, Cunnin’Lynguists, 2Pac, Jay-Z, Public Enemy, Ghostface Killah etc. I also listen to heavy metal, alt. rock, rap-core and big beat. And I don’t care about prejudiced people who say rap/hip-hop isn’t really a form of music!
Started watching anime too after a year-long gap! Naruto, Bleach, Code Geass etc.
And I’m a huge movie buff too.
Anyhow, about my background.. I’m 17 years old, from Chennai and I jus finished my high school.. Going to college ! A new life awaits me. New friends, new place.. Damn, it’s gonna be LEGEN-*ok never mind, it’s getting too frikking cliched right now*-DARY
I guess that should be enough for now , Stay tuned folks!
